The Site Security & Gate Control Officer is responsible for maintaining secure, controlled, and compliant access to the construction site.The role ensures that all personnel, contractors, vehicles, and deliveries entering the site are authorized, documented, and aligned with project-specific safety and security procedures.This position is a key operational function supporting both site management and HSE teams, ensuring that entry points are controlled, risks are minimised, and all activities at the gate comply with local legislation, project rules, and client requirements.The role also contributes to maintaining order in high-traffic areas, monitoring site perimeters, and supporting a professional and safe working environment across the project.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesAccess & Gate ControlVerify access permits, IDs, qualifications, and authorisations for all workers, contractors, and visitors.Ensure that only approved individuals and companies enter or operate on site.Register and monitor the arrival of vehicles, deliveries, and equipment.Maintain a strict entry/exit log in accordance with project procedures.Communicate directly with site management when irregularities or unauthorised access attempts occur.Documentation & ComplianceKeep access documentation updated and aligned with contractor and client requirements.Support compliance checks in collaboration with the Compliance Team and HSE.Maintain clear records to support audits, inspections, and daily reporting.Ensure zero drift in documentation and follow up on missing or outdated permits.Site Security MonitoringMonitor activity around entry points and high-traffic areas to detect unsafe behaviour or security breaches.Maintain clear visibility of pedestrian and vehicle movements to prevent congestion and unsafe situations.Support incident response by notifying site management and HSE when deviations occur.Coordination & CommunicationWork closely with Site Management, HSE teams, Contractors, and Logistics to maintain safe and structured site access.Assist in organising peak-hour traffic and deliveries to ensure safe flow conditions.Communicate clearly with both white-collar and craft professionals in a busy, operational environment.Required Skills and QualificationsEducation & CertificationsBackground in security, guarding, or access control is an advantage.Relevant certifications in site security, safety, or guarding preferred (not mandatory).
Industry ExperienceExperience working in construction, industrial, infrastructure, or plant environments.Understanding of site logistics, access procedures, or gatekeeping systems.Familiarity with HSE principles and safe behaviour standards on construction sites.Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.Ability to maintain structure, discipline, and calm under pressure.Clear communicator capable of interacting with diverse teams.Reliable, punctual, and professional in all interactions.Ability to follow set procedures and escalate deviations appropriately.LanguagesEnglish fluency (spoken and written).
Local language (Danish) is an advantage.
