What You'll Be Doing:
This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. Your responsibilities will be crucial to our success and will include:
- Order & Customer Management:
- Managing the end-to-end order process in our system (simpro), ensuring accuracy from data entry to completion.
- Acting as a key contact for our customers, providing exceptional service via phone and email.
- Creating picking slips and coordinating with the team to ensure orders are ready for dispatch.
- Logistics & Scheduling:
- Taking full ownership of the daily delivery schedule, coordinating drivers and routes for maximum efficiency.
- Organising the most cost-effective freight solutions, liaising with both internal and external providers.
- Coordinating the pickup of leftover stock from job sites in a timely manner.
- Warehouse & Inventory Operations:
- Operating the forklift (licence required) to safely receive and manage incoming stock.
- Picking and preparing stock for both supply-only and installation jobs.
- Conducting weekly stocktakes and performing quality assurance checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Providing backup support to our truck driver as needed to ensure deliveries are always on schedule.
What You'll Bring:
We're looking for a practical, reliable, and switched-on individual. The right attitude and a willingness to learn are essential. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A current Forklift Licence - Essential.
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence - Essential.
- A hands-on attitude; you're not afraid to get involved in the warehouse or help the team wherever needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet, especially when coordinating logistics.
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- A proactive and self-motivated work ethic, with a knack for time management and organisation.
- Great communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
