- Organisation: Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI)
About CISI
The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) is a global, not‐for‐profit professional body dedicated to raising standards of professionalism, integrity, and education across financial services.
Following a strategic alliance with FINSIA, CISI is formally establishing its presence in Australia and New Zealand. This transition brings an engaged and established membership base and creates a unique opportunity to rebuild, grow, and elevate professional education and standards across the region, with ANZ forming the foundation for future Asia‐Pacific expansion.
With headquarters in London and a major operations centre in Sri Lanka, CISI provides world‐class infrastructure, technology, and educational content — enabling local teams to focus on growth, relationships, and impact.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Relationships Manager to play a pivotal role in growing CISI's institutional, corporate, and member relationships across Australia and New Zealand.
This is a senior, consultative role combining relationship management with business development. You will work with senior decision‐makers across financial services, professional services, education providers, and emerging sectors such as fintech and platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, influencing at senior levels, and creating long‐term value — not a commission‐led or hard sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management
* Build and manage strong relationships with senior stakeholders across member firms, corporate partners, and training providers
* Act as a trusted advisor, supporting engagement, retention, and long‐term partnerships
* Represent CISI's values of professionalism, integrity, and lifelong learning
Business Development
* Identify and develop new institutional and corporate partnerships across ANZ
* Grow CISI's membership base and uptake of qualifications and CPD offerings
* Build a sustainable pipeline through consultative, relationship‐led business development
Education, Events & Engagement
* Deliver presentations, webinars, and briefings promoting CISI's qualifications, CPD, and membership benefits
* Support the delivery of CPD events, professional forums, and regional engagement activity
* Represent CISI at conferences and industry events
Commercial & Strategic Input
* Understand client needs and feed insights into the development of scalable education and membership offerings
* Collaborate closely with global teams across Membership, Learning, Marketing, and Events
* Maintain accurate records of engagement and opportunities using CRM systems
What We're Looking For
* Experience in relationship management, business development, or account management
* Background within financial services, professional services, education, or a membership‐based organisation
* Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and decision‐makers
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Commercial awareness and a results‐oriented mindset
* Exposure to education, CPD, qualifications, or professional standards
* Experience working with fintechs, platforms, or emerging financial services models
* Familiarity with CRM systems and structured pipeline management
What This Role Is (and Isn't)
This role is:
* Senior, consultative, and credibility‐led
* Focused on long‐term relationship value
* A genuine opportunity to help shape a growing market
This role is not:
* Cold‐calling focused
* A purely administrative account management position
Location & Working Model
* Remote role within Australia
* Sydney preferred, but candidates based anywhere in Australia will be considered
* Office presence likely to develop over time, but not required initially
Salary & Benefits
* Competitive base salary (aligned to experience)
* 12% superannuation
* Discretionary annual bonus linked to individual and organisational performance
* Business travel expenses covered
* Complimentary CISI membership
* Up to 24 days annual leave plus public holidays and additional leave over Christmas/New Year
Why Join CISI?
* Join a respected, purpose‐led global organisation
* Play a visible role in rebuilding and growing CISI's presence in ANZ
* Work with engaged members and senior industry leaders
* Be part of a long‐term Asia‐Pacific growth story
* Make a genuine impact on professional standards in financial services
