Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on youth workshop facilitator and Event Support Coordinator to assist with the smooth delivery of kids' business workshops and market days and expos. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with families and children, can take initiative, and thrives in dynamic event environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Event Set-Up & Pack-Down
* Assist with transporting, setting up, and dismantling market stalls, marquees, signage, and event equipment.
* Ensure event spaces are safe, welcoming, and accessible.
* On-the-Day Event Management
* Support market day operations, including registrations, vendor support, and troubleshooting.
* Engage with children, parents, and community members in a friendly and professional manner.
* Help manage schedules, activities, and logistics during expos and market days.
* Independent Work
* Carry out tasks independently when required, with confidence and responsibility.
* Follow safety and child protection guidelines at all times.
Essential Requirements
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
* Own transport (with capacity to move light event equipment).
* Physically able to assist with set-up/pack-down of stalls, tables, and displays.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexible availability, including weekends.
Desirable
* Previous experience in event coordination, community programs, or youth activities.
* First Aid Certificate.
* Interest in entrepreneurship, education, or community engagement.
