Mechanical & Electrical Technician (Rail Engineering) – Northam
Responsible for maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of rail vehicles. Work on a continental shift pattern (6 am – 6 pm or 6 pm – 6 am) with a salary range of £45,000 – £50,000 and potential to earn up to £60,000 with overtime and competencies. Benefits include excellent pension, 31 days holiday.

: Continental 6 am – 6 pm or 6 pm – 6 am.
Responsibilities
:
Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on rail vehicles.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
Carry out pre-use checks on tools and equipment and support tasks such as topping up fuel and sand levels.
Adhere to engineering standards, procedures and complete all relevant documentation and asset-management records.
Requirements
:
Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Technician with experience in heavy maintenance (HGV, aerospace, marine, plant machinery, armed forces, REMEs).
Strong problem-solving skills and pride in craftsmanship.
Pass a basic DBS check, a Drugs & Alcohol test, and a full rail medical.
