Job Description
Location: Geraldton Port
Roster: 4 Days, 4 Nights, 4 Off
Rate: $48.31 per hour + Superannuation
Shifts: 12 Hours
Type: Permanent
We are seeking a motivated Fixed Plant Operator to join the Port Logistics team at Geraldton Port on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you'll play a key part in safely and efficiently unloading trucks, while carrying out inspections and maintenance to keep our operations running smoothly.
What you'll be doing:
* Safely and efficiently unload trucks to ensure timely material transfer.
* Conduct inspections of incoming materials and plant equipment.
* Carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
* Perform regular safety and functionality checks to identify and address potential issues.
* Work collaboratively with management, contractors, operator maintainers, and loader operators.
* Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
* Operate mobile equipment safely and report hazards promptly.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of safety protocols.
* Keep accurate records of daily activities, including unloading, inspections, and maintenance.
* Complete documentation of any incidents and corrective actions.
Qualifications
Required:
* Current and valid C Class Driver's Licence
* First Aid Certificate
* CPR Certificate
* National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement
Willingness to obtain (if not already held):
* Relevant VOCs for machinery operation
* Confined Space Certification
* Working at Heights Training
