The Role
We’re seeking a motivated Assistant Production Manager to support our Production Manager and help lead day-to-day operations in our concrete sleeper manufacturing facility. You’ll work across safety, quality, productivity, scheduling, and team supervision while driving continuous improvement.
Key Duties
* Support daily/weekly production KPIs
* Supervise manufacturing processes and operator performance
* Ensure product quality and manufacture to specification
* Assist with planning, scheduling, and labour allocation
* Reduce waste and improve efficiency
* Maintain housekeeping and equipment readiness
* Assist with staff training and training records
* Support first-level HR and daily team leadership
* Assist with trials for new products/materials and keep records
* Ensure compliance with quality systems and building code requirements
