The Role:
Live Nation is seeking a strategic and experienced Food & Beverage Director – Venues to lead the planning and execution of public Food & Beverage, Catering, and Merchandise operations across our Australian venues, while also offering guidance to New Zealand venues and festivals.
This senior role will drive revenue growth, margin performance, and customer experience across all F&B touchpoints—from bars and catering to merchandise and premium offerings. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping innovative F&B concepts, implementing new systems, and optimising retail operations in collaboration with venue and executive teams.

What you'll be doing:
Operations
Develop and implement annual F&B retail strategies focused on revenue growth, margin improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Work with the Director - Venues on the rollout and integration of POS systems across venues and ensure alignment with other data sources.
Monitor performance through regular reporting, audits, and stocktake analysis, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on budgeting, pricing, outlet performance, and operational standards.
Lead assessments and tender processes for catering providers, artist riders, and function packages.
Ensure SOPs are in place for all Australian venue retail staff and contribute actively as part of the senior venue executive team.
F&B Product / Concept
Research, trial, and implement new F&B trends, brands, and offerings to enhance the customer experience and drive revenue.
Work closely with marketing and sponsorship teams to align products with strategic and commercial goals.
Oversee selection, purchasing, and inventory of all F&B-related supplies and equipment.
Provide input on venue and outlet design layouts, menus, and interiors to optimise both function and customer appeal.
Collaborate with innovation and venue teams on developing and trialling new F&B initiatives and premium experiences.
Support the rollout of new ancillary revenue streams alongside the Product & Innovation team.
F&B People
Provide strong leadership, mentoring, and development pathways for key F&B team members across the venue network.
Drive a values-led culture that promotes integrity, professionalism, and service excellence.
Work with venue and operations teams to retain talent and optimise staffing structures.
Offer ongoing feedback, coaching, and brand training to ensure high performance and consistency.
Lead team meetings to set goals, evaluate performance, and encourage collaboration.
Partner with internal teams to support special event delivery and retail initiatives.
What we're looking for:
Minimum 5+ years' experience in senior Food & Beverage leadership roles, ideally across venues or large-scale operations
Proven ability to drive revenue growth and improve profit margins through strategic planning and operational excellence
Strong understanding of POS systems, data integration, and retail sales performance analysis
Experience with outlet design, product innovation, and implementing new F&B concepts
Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a focus on team development and retention
Commercial acumen and experience working with internal stakeholders, sponsors, and service providers
