* Family-owned operation committed to healthy work-life balance & long-term tenure
* Progressive farm with modern infrastructure, an established team and technology
* Attractive salary package, including accommodation, incentives & a work vehicle
The Role
As Operations Supervisor, you will report directly to the hands-on owners and be responsible for the operational oversight of one of the aggregation's key farms. Your core duties will involve the day-to-day management of farm operations, ensuring production targets are met and maintaining the high standards of the business, which includes an expectation to monitor crop performance.
Key responsibilities will include working within a team to set up and operate tractors and various implements for tasks like ground preparation, planting, fertilising, and cultivation. You will also oversee spraying (including operating self-propelled spray rigs), manage cotton picking (round baler), and handle/load cotton bales. A critical part of the role is the independent operation and basic maintenance of advanced crop irrigation systems, particularly lateral systems and pumps. Half of the irrigated area is watered via laterals, and in-crop irrigations are usually limited to 3-4 rounds per season, pending water availability. You will coordinate contractors with and transport providers as needed, and assist with general maintenance of farm structures and equipment. Flexibility and availability for weekend work during peak periods of the season are required.
