About the Role
This occupational therapy position plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, providing interventions, and planning within the NDIS and Aged Care frameworks.
Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality, effective, and efficient services to clients, promoting their wellness, and encouraging active participation in decision-making about their care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing evidence-based, person-centred assessment, clinical management, and intervention to individuals with cognitive, physical, or psycho-social disabilities in line with NDIS goals.
* Prescribing assistive technology and recommendations for home modifications funded under the NDIS and other external funding agencies, including preparation of funding applications.
* Conducting ADL (activity of daily living) and functional capacity assessments within the client's home and providing recommendations and intervention.
* Managing a caseload of clients who may present with increasing complexity, multiple co-morbidities, and functional limitations across multiple areas of their life.
You will work closely with clients, their families, and support workers to identify goals and utilise a capacity building approach towards achievement and long-term sustainability of these goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
* Current AHPRA Registration.
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
* Working with Children Check (Employee type).
* Valid Victorian Driver's Licence with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
