THE ROLE Based in Launceston, as an Automation Engineer you will provide electrical design, programming, consultancy & management services to clients. You will also be responsible for:
Collaborate with clients and engineers to analyse requirements, prepare functional specifications, and create accurate AutoCAD drawings. Design electrical panels and equipment, draft material and equipment specifications, and review technical drawings and system specs to ensure compliance with standards and customer needs. PLC/RTU and SCADA programming & configuration. Testing, implementation and installation of equipment/software and ensure it complies with specifications, standards, codes & customer requirements. ABOUT YOU You will be a degree qualified engineer with a minimum of 2 years proven experience in industrial automation in either manufacturing, water, or oil & gas. As a successful candidate seeking a long-term role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
An Australian-recognised Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronic, or Automation). Demonstrated experience with PLC & SCADA configuration and programming knowledge - Ignition and Citect SCADA. Ability to use AutoCAD to design and alter electrical drawings. Strong analytical ability to problem-solve and provide solutions. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
