Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional to join our team, delivering individual and group counselling services across a diverse range of client needs. As a Counsellor, you will play a pivotal role in providing immediate support and intervention during crisis situations to ensure client safety and well-being. You will conduct detailed psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans accordingly. Your collaborative approach shines in multidisciplinary teams, allowing you to create holistic care solutions. The position is 2 days per week (flexible).
Psychologists are also encouraged to apply with AHPRA Full or Provisional registration.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group counselling services across diverse client needs.
- Provide immediate support and crisis intervention to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to create holistic care solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in counselling, or a related field, with current registration with a relevant industry association.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proficiency in therapeutic modalities related to mental health, addictions, trauma, and family dynamics is desirable.
- Experience working with diverse populations facing various psychosocial issues is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in providing group-based treatment.
- ACA registration (for Counsellors) or AHPRA registration (full or provisional, for Psychologists).
