We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team in Sydney to manage and run payroll across Australia.The Payroll Manager will ensure compliance with local tax and labour laws, optimize payroll systems and processes, and partner with HR and Finance to support business objectives.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience with regional payroll operations, strong leadership skills, and keen attention to detail.Ensure accurate and timely payroll operations across all Australian sites, acting as the main escalation point for complex queries.Proactively identify opportunities to streamline systems and payroll procedures for scalability as the business grows.Maintain exemplary standards in data quality, audit readiness, and adherence to Australian payroll legislation and GDPR requirements.Collaborate with internal stakeholders on reconciliations, audits, and payroll-related compliance across departments.Guide leaders on payroll practices, legal obligations, and system usage while contributing regular reports and dashboard insights.About youWe are looking for a highly experienced and adaptable payroll professional with a passion for operational excellence and compliance.
You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and bring deep knowledge of payroll practices and legislation across Australia.Key requirementsMinimum 5 years' experience managing payroll, with strong understanding of Australian payroll laws and hands-on expertise in HRIS systems (ideally Workday).
