What's the role?
Permanent role, Sydney (Hybrid – three days a week in office).
Join our UNITE transformation program as a Java Engineer, designing, developing, and supporting critical internet and mobile banking applications. You'll work within a complex tech ecosystem (Java stack, IBM WebSphere, NGINX, DB2, MQ middleware, modern API development) and collaborate with architecture, DevOps, testing, and support teams.
What do I need?
• Minimum 5 years' experience with St George Online and Mobile Banking system; 10+ years overall IT experience
• Proven full stack development for enterprise desktop and mobile applications
• Strong skills in Java/J2EE (Spring, Spring Boot, Servlets, JSP, JDBC), IBM WebSphere, MQ/JMS, NGINX/Apache, front-end tech (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ReactJs, NodeJS)
• Experience with relational databases (Microsoft t-SQL, DB2), non-relational databases, and tools (Git, Bitbucket, Powershell, Sonar, Fortify, SNYK)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins) and Agile methodologies (JIRA, Confluence)
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skills; team player
