Key Responsibilities and Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to process fortnightly payroll for wages and salaried staff, maintain data integrity of the payroll systems, and ensure compliance with legislation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for calculating workers compensation payments, providing Long Service Leave entitlements, and ensuring correct payment of leave and accruals.
Financial and Prudential Responsibilities
The role requires accurate financial reporting, monitoring liquidity and investment strategies, and contributing to compliance with the Aged Care Act. We require the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or payroll qualification
* Minimum 3 years' experience in high volume payroll covering 24/7 rosters
* Experience in ELMO payroll preferred
* Excellent ability in Award and/or Enterprise Agreement interpretation
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of electronic rostering systems and how it integrates with payroll software
* Sound understanding of the requirements of the Fair Work Act including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs)
* Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
