About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our dynamic Canberra Administration Team based at our Fyshwick Hub.
This position will best suit an individual who works well in a large team and a high-volume environment. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the Accounts Payable function are processed and completed accurately & in a timely manner.
What the role entails:
* Management of Accounts Payable Suppliers in our DMS
* Dealing with Invoice exceptions and rejections
* Liaising with Department Managers across the Canberra Dealership network
* Monthly Creditor reconciliations
* Weekly/Fortnightly/End of month payments to suppliers
* Prepare expenditure reports for end of month reporting
* Completing new supplier credit applications
* Creating new Supplier Accounts
* Maintain vendor accounts to ensure information is correct and up to date
* Providing support to the other account teams across the Fyshwick Hub
* Ad-hoc administration and general accounts-related tasks where required
To be successful in the position you will need to have the following:
* Proven Accounts Payable experience
* Previous Dealership experience preferred but not essential
* Basic/Intermediate Excel Skills
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
* Time management ability
* Excellent attention to detail
* Friendly and professional manner
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Strong communication skills
