Role Details
The Team Leader, Archival Collection Development leads the strategic and operational development of the State Library's archival (unpublished) collections. The role provides expert oversight of acquisitions, donor negotiations, appraisal, and ethical collecting practices, ensuring alignment with policy and organisational priorities. The position also leads and supports specialist staff, manages budgets and legal agreements, and contributes to projects that strengthen the Library's collections and long‑term stewardship.
Special Conditions
* The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
* The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
* This role requires a Working With Children Check.
* This role requires a National Criminal History check.
Essential Qualification
Eligible for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association, or Degree in Information Management or Archives Administration, or a Degree Majoring in History, Politics, Anthropology, Law or Commerce, or another Degree and eligible for professional membership of the Australian Society of Archivists, or Degree in Fine Arts, Applied Science or Science.
