Looking to get your foot in the door with Local Government and show what you can bring to the table?
This is a temporary Ranger opportunity based in the Cessnock Region, working with a well‐regarded Local Government team up to 30 June 2026, with the potential for extension.
Great chance for someone with previous Ranger or regulatory experience who enjoys being out in the community, working across a varied role and making a genuine difference day to day.
You will be involved in a mix of compliance, parking, animal management, community safety and customer service, so no two days are likely to look the same.
What you'll be doing:
* Enforcing local laws, regulations and Council policies
* Investigating complaints and responding professionally
* Parking patrols and compliance activities
* Issuing warnings, notices and infringements where required
* Supporting animal management responsibilities
* Providing a high level of customer service to the community
* Preparing reports and maintaining accurate records
What we're looking for:
* Previous Ranger, compliance, regulatory or similar experience
* Certificate IV in Local Government, Government Investigations or similar highly regarded
* Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with the public
* Ability to manage situations calmly and professionally
* Current Driver Licence
