This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' experience in civil construction to step into an estimating role and develop their commercial and technical skills. You'll work closely with senior estimators and project teams, gaining exposure to tendering, cost planning and project delivery across a range of civil infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities * Assist in preparing cost estimates and tender submissions * Analyse drawings, specifications and project documentation * Support take-offs and quantity calculations * Assist with subcontractor pricing and procurement * Maintain and update cost databases * Work closely with project and delivery teams * Support bid preparation and submission deadlines Skills & Experience Essential * 1-2 years' experience in civil construction or estimating * Strong interest in estimating and commercial construction * Good attention to detail and numerical accuracy * Ability to read and interpret drawings * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Based in Canberra or surrounding areas Highly Regarded * Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management * Exposure to estimating or tendering processes * Experience with civil infrastructure projects Salary & Benefits * $80,000 - $110,000 super (depending on experience) * Full-time permanent role * Structured career development and mentoring * Exposure to real projects and tendering processes * Strong pipeline of work and job stability About the company The employer is a well-established civil construction contractor delivering infrastructure projects across the ACT.
