The Role
This is not a BAU payroll position. You'll take ownership of payroll operations while also improving processes and strengthening controls across a multi‐entity environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* End-to-end payroll processing across AU (with exposure to NZ/UK highly regarded)
* Managing payroll through an outsourced/provider model (e.g. Employment Hero or similar)
* Payroll reconciliations including super, PAYG, and payroll tax
* Supporting month‐end activities including payroll journals
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and reporting requirements (STP)
* Partnering with HR and Finance to resolve payroll queries and improve processes
* Identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies
About You
* 3+ years end-to-end payroll experience
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (STP, super, awards)
* Experience working with outsourced payroll providers or complex environments
* Confident with reconciliations and payroll accounting
* Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
* Comfortable working in a changing, fast‐paced environment
* Exposure to NZ or UK payroll will be highly regarded.
