The Claims Management Group plays a vital role in Comcare's strategic objective of delivering an effective workers' compensation scheme for the Australian Public Service.
The team performs critical financial and administrative services to support claims transactions, operating under two sub teams: Income Support and Financial and Client Services.
These teams handle various tasks, including incapacity payments, provider payment processing, document processing, and contact centre operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Determining simple normal weekly earnings and hours worked
* Processing Claim for Time off Work forms
* Supporting debt recovery functions
* Assisting in claimant payments
Tasks are undertaken within required timeframes, complying with set procedures, and accurate receipting and recording of agency records.
This role reports to the Senior Claims Payment Services Officer or Senior Client Services Officer.
Eligibility Requirements
* Character clearance (police records check)
* Health clearance
* Six months probationary period for new engagements
* Security Clearance: Baseline
