Predominantly working in and around Adelaide, South Australia, we encourage local Adelaide-based candidates to apply. Due to a period of steady and sustained growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician or UPS Technician to join our team.
The role is primarily Adelaide-based, with FIFO work to Olympic Dam as required. All FIFO work will attract applicable allowances and overtime rates.
The Role
This is a hands‐on and varied position where you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault‐finding of electrical and UPS systems, as well as providing technical support to customers. You will work both autonomously and as part of a team and gain exposure to additional areas of the business, including:
* Secure power and UPS systems
* Battery installations and maintenance
* Power and communications for UPSs, cooling equipment, etc.
* IT and data centre infrastructure installations
Key Responsibilities
* Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of UPS systems
* UPS battery installations, replacements, and testing
* Installation of power and control cabling
* Installation and wiring of control panels
* Electrical fault‐finding and commissioning
* Understanding and working with AC and DC power systems
* Providing on‐site and remote technical support
* Electrical trade qualification and current licence
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong commitment to workplace OH&S
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance
* Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Highly Desirable
* Previous experience as a UPS Technician or working with critical power systems
* FIFO experience, particularly on major mining sites such as Olympic Dam
* Experience working in data centres or mission‐critical environments
* Strong understanding of computers and basic operating systems
