The Role
Are you experienced in program management, providing grant policy advice and across all facets of the grants program?
Are you looking for a long term contract, are based in Canberra and have a NV clearance?
If you answered yes, then this just might be the role for you!
Duties:
* Allocating and tracking tasks in SmartyGrants, data collection/maintenance, reporting, and records management
* Developing grant guidance material, templates and tools on specific aspects of grant administration
* Providing grant policy advice and guidance to departmental staff, including interpreting and applying legislative and policy frameworks
* Ensuring grant information on the Department's website is relevant, accurate and up to date
* Problem solving on a range of complex grant topics, with a strong client focus
* Building capability, driving grant best practice education and updating related tools and templates
* Undertaking the full range of duties related to negotiating grant agreements
* Monitoring grants, including direct contact with grant recipients to ensure grants remain on track and delivered as agreed
* Ensuring grants are accurately uploaded to GrantConnect in a timely manner in compliance with the Commonwealth grants framework
* Provide secretariat support to the grant evaluation committee
* Draft and maintain updated comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the management of the grant process
* Providing other policy and program support to the team as required

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
