CPC Engineering has over 50 years' experience in the mining sector and is 100% West Australian owned and operated. Our Great Southern division has an opportunity for an experienced and driven Operations Superintendent to join and lead our Albany branch.
Reporting to the Works Manager, we are seeking applications from candidates residing in and around Albany or willing to relocate to the area, this role is a locally based position.
About the Role:
The Operations Superintendent is responsible for leading and coordinating CPC Engineering's operational activities across Albany and surrounding regions.
The role is accountable for achieving regional performance outcomes across:
* Revenue and profitability
* Operational performance and labour utilisation
* Client engagement and business development
* Project planning, delivery and operational execution
* Safety, quality, and compliance outcomes
This is a pivotal role for CPC Engineering where you will be driving and strengthening our regional presence by developing strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, supporting tenders and estimating and ensuring safe and high-quality project delivery.
What you will bring to the role:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Trade qualification or significant operational industry experience preferred.
* 5–10+ years' experience in operational leadership
* Experience within materials handling, fabrication, surface treatment, shutdowns and site services.
* Strong leadership and team management capability
* Commercial awareness including budgeting and cost control
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
* Experience managing clients, operational teams, and project delivery
* Ability to work autonomously while aligning with business objectives
* Strong safety and quality understanding of systems and documentation with a key focus and commitment to operational excellence
* Competent computer skills across Microsoft 365 and operational systems.
* Ability to build positive relationships internally and externally
