Job Overview
Die Setter – casual full-time position in a reputable packaging organization that manufactures packaging products for the Food and Dairy industry. The role is based in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne and operates Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Die Setter is responsible for setting up and maintaining molds (dies) in plastic manufacturing machines to ensure smooth and efficient production.
Responsibilities
* Install and remove molds (dies) in injection molding machines
* Perform machine setup and calibration to meet production specifications
* Conduct trial runs and quality checks
* Troubleshoot molding issues and adjust machine parameters
* Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on dies
* Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet output targets
* Ensure safety and compliance with operational procedures
Qualifications
* Experience as a Die Setter or similar role within plastics or manufacturing
* Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of molding processes
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Excellent problem‐solving and troubleshooting skills
* Positive communication and teamwork abilities
* Forklift licence desirable but not essential
* Commitment to safety and quality standards
