SuniTAFE is seeking an energetic individual as a Senior Secondary Wellbeing and Engagement Officer at our Swan Hill campus who will play a key role in in ensuring students enrolled in the VPC and VCE Vocational programs feel supported, safe, and empowered—from their first day on campus to their transition into further study or employment.

Whether it’s’ helping students overcome enrolment barriers, coordinating wellbeing support, or promoting a positive campus experience, your work will shape the way students connect with their education and future pathways. Your responsibilities will include:

- Act as a first point of contact for students to assist in resolving day-to-day issues they may encounter.

- In consultation with Teachers, Course Guidance Officers and Student Administration Officers identify potential students in VCE VM & VPC Studies that may require support.

- Provide appropriate assistance to students to overcome individual barriers when enrolling in courses.

- Supporting students with online application process and liaising with external case managers as required.

- Supporting the students completing pre-training reviews and ACER assessments within a controlled environment for potential students as part of the pre-enrolment process.

- Liaising with teachers to assess the suitability of students for the VCE VM or VPC programs.

- Ensuring students are aware of the additional support service available at SuniTAFE and how these services can be accessed, as appropriate.

- Developing and delivering engagement activities during term breaks to support and maintain contact with returning and enrolled students.

- Providing support to the Education Business Manager (EBM) and teaching staff in identifying complex student issue that become apparent during the education process.

Key selection criteria:

- A relevant Degree in Education Support, Community Services with current and relevant work experience or relevant tertiary qualifications (diploma/certificate) and significant current and relevant work experience.

- At least three years’ experience in working with youth.

The successful candidate will be required to provide:

- A successful criminal record check which is less than 6 months old.

- A working with children check.

This position is open to Australian residents only or those with current working rights in Australia.
