At the forefront of space exploration, we envision a future where humanity ventures beyond Earth's boundaries.
A key member of our team will be responsible for designing and developing the Starship spacecraft, focusing on its primary and secondary structures, thermal protection systems, aerodynamic control surfaces, stage separation systems, recovery systems, and more.
The successful candidate will drive innovation by solving complex problems related to mechanical design and analysis. This includes owning primary and secondary structures, designing flight hardware, developing design criteria, performing hand calculations, and incorporating design for manufacturing principles.
To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and have at least 5 years of experience with mechanical design and analysis. Your expertise should include experience designing, analyzing, building, and testing high-performance mechanical systems, working within interdisciplinary teams, and applying FEA or multiphysics simulation packages.
Key responsibilities include designing and executing qualification testing, optimizing designs for speed, performance, and cost, and driving cross-functional teams to balance operational needs across vehicle systems.
We seek candidates with analytical/scientific programming experience, strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a self-motivated attitude.
