* Acts as a buffer to protect product and engineering from unnecessary noise.
* Engages in technical-level conversations with customers, especially during pre‑sales .
* Not expected to write code; instead, helps customers understand the technical landscape, navigate solutions, and support onboarding.
* Supports both pre‑sales (helping close deals) and existing clients recently on-boarded .
Role Overview
The Senior Pre-sales engineer is responsible for designing and delivering advanced Ad-Tech solutions for customers. This role works closely with sales, customer success, platform, and technical architecture teams to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions. The position also plays a key role in scaling the solutions function and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities
Solutions & Delivery
* Contribute to the design and development of innovative Ad-Tech solutions.
* Support the growth and scalability of the solutions function within the organisation.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers to ensure successful outcomes.
* Manage multiple projects and incoming queries simultaneously using established project management methodologies.
* Lead solution delivery by managing timelines, budgets, and scope.
* Collaborate with sales and platform teams to translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions.
* Consult with internal and external technical teams to design and implement solutions across websites, apps, and integrations.
* Work closely with technical architecture teams to ensure solutions meet quality and delivery standards.
* Stay informed on Ad-Tech trends and emerging technologies to maintain competitive solution offerings.
* Review customer datasets, identify quality issues, and document success criteria.
* Facilitate external workshops to support solution design and alignment.
* Deploy functional solutions through cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Success, Engineering, and Product teams.
* Educate internal teams on solution‑related activities through documentation, videos, and retrospectives.
* Support the protection of sensitive information by following organisational guidelines and policies.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of software/hardware systems, databases, networking, and programming concepts to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders.
* Problem‑Solving: Ability to analyse complex issues, identify root causes, and develop creative, customer‑focused solutions.
* Customer Focus: Strong interpersonal skills to understand customer needs and deliver exceptional service throughout implementation.
* Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical information and conducting demonstrations.
