2026 Performing Arts Tutor – Speech and Drama
Performing Arts Tutors at Saint Stephen’s College work alongside students to guide, encourage, inspire and motivate them on their creative journey through lessons, home practice and involvement in College ensembles.
The Performing Arts Tutor (Speech and Drama) provide a service to work with students in both individual and small group lessons, delivering specialised instruction in speech and drama to support their skill development and performance confidence.
They will also deliver rehearsals for our Senior College drama ensemble Theatralis and prepare students for their yearly production.
Their service may also include the opportunity to establish and lead a Junior and Middle School Drama Club.
This engagement is for a Contractor scheduled to commence in Term One 2026.
Services
The Contractor will:
- Provide engaging and high-quality lessons designed to foster development and performance skills.
- Implement, and deliver a comprehensive, and appropriately sequenced learning program for students.
- Contribute to the preparation and delivery of performances, including soirees, concerts, and other College events as required.
The Contract can also provide private tutoring, one‑on‑one or in small group lessons, as determined by the Contractor and endorsed by the College with all invoicing and communication managed directly between the Contractor and parents.
Service Expectations (Obligations)
The Contractor is expected to:
- Maintain professional, consistent, and supportive communication with students, parents, and guardians to encourage participation and provide constructive feedback.
- Complete ad hoc administrative and reporting tasks as appropriate.
- Comply with the College’s policies and procedures which relate to the care, safety and welfare of the College’s officers, staff and students (or which otherwise relate to work health and safety).
Mandatory Clearances/Certifications
- Blue Card, in accordance with ‘No Card. No Link. No Start’, as per the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000
