The Opportunity
The Digital Transformation Lead "the Lead" is responsible for leading the development and maturity of project delivery capabilities within Legal Services. The role oversees the successful execution of Legal Services project portfolio, ranging from operational improvements to major capital programs, while driving the implementation of the digital roadmap. By developing and delivering high-quality governance and reporting, the position ensures all initiatives align with strategic objectives and meet professional government standards
The Lead will build and maintain the project delivery capability within Legal Services. They are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the capital program, and the leadership and supervision of the project delivery resources. This includes the management and oversight of vendors who are engaged to deliver capital initiatives.
The Lead will work closely with the Director, Information Services to build the Digital Transformation team, facilitating a culture of continuous improvement, and high-quality delivery.
The Lead is responsible for providing regular reporting to the Executive on the state of project delivery and ensuring that projects are delivered within scope, budget and time constraints.

Salary Range
$121,107 to $125,679 salary plus 12% super and leave loading.Please note: An Enterprise Agreement has been proposed with voting to take place in early February 2026, for further information please speak to Human Resources on
As a not-for-profit organisation, Legal Services is able to offer its employees attractive salary sacrifice arrangements, including up to $15,900 pre-tax Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year for general living expenses.
Term of Employment
24 month contract at the ASO8 classification level.
What You Need For Success
The ideal candidate will:
* ability to lead, mentor and manage cohesive teams, including project and technical staff by setting direction, motivating employees, effectively delegating tasks and coordinating work through strong leadership principles.
* extensive experience leading complex projects over $1 million to completion.
* experience delivering successful projects within the South Australian state government.
* demonstrated success in forging successful collaborations, networks and working relationships, engaging with agency representatives, managing diverse stakeholders, and negotiating to achieve the best outcome.
* proven ability to work under broad direction, exercise significant levels of independent judgement and work with agility across competing and tight deadlines to deliver quality outcomes for stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
* knowledge of project management principles, change management practices and administrative processes in a complex organisation.
