Role Overview
As a Dentist working casually at Amberley Health Centre, you'll provide a full range of dental services including emergency treatments, general exams, preventative care, restorations, minor oral surgery, x-rays, extractions, root canals, and prosthodontics.
You'll work closely with medical officers, nursing staff, and specialist dental providers to deliver high-quality care, helping personnel stay dentally fit for deployment in line with Defence policies.
Qualifications
* Australian citizenship is required to meet the Baseline security clearance criteria.
* Current, unconditional, and unrestricted registration as a General Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) postgraduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years.
* Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities as required by AHPRA.
About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
Amberley Health Centre, located at RAAF Base Amberley — the largest Air Force base in Australia, just 50 minutes from Brisbane. The centre delivers healthcare services to over 6,500 RAAF members and includes primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, and mental health care.
The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
