Retail Cooks/ Sandwich Artist
The Retail Food and Beverage staff are expected to uphold and enhance Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre's (PCEC) reputation based around the philosophy that 'food always comes first' and that we are innovators in food style and service.
These roles demand naturally energetic and flexible individuals who are accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and has proven capacity to work well under pressure and to strict service timelines. It will also require the capacity to deal effectively with multiple tasks and competing demands.
Key attributes Cooks/Sandwich Artist:
* Career orientated Cook with a proven knowledge of kitchen operations seeking to learn
* Confidence and a proactive team member.
* The ability to organise and balance multiple demands.
Qualifications
* Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
Experience
* Prior experience in a food outlet environment is an advantage, but not essential.
* Experience in supporting a chef or cook is favourable, but not essential.
* This role entails working in a fast-paced environment, often under high pressure. The role is hands-on and requires the Casual Chef to perform several physical activities. The Casual Chef is also responsible for the delivery of high-quality service and products whilst adhering to the policies and procedures of the organisation.
* Knowledge and experience of legislative food safety requirements.
