Field and Laboratory Technicians

Job Description We are seeking a full-time Field and Laboratory Technician to join our team, splitting time between fieldwork in Newman and lab work at Perth Airport. Key Responsibilities
Field
* Collect samples like Potable Water, Wastewater, Sewage Water, Soil and Hygiene samples.
* Prepare daily field reports.
* Maintenance of all sampling and field equipment.
* Perform all required QC checks and collect required QC samples as requested.
* Build and maintain good working relationships with all clients.
* Arrange all field consumables, sampling media and equipment as required for each job.
* Prepare Job Safety Analysis and risk assessments as required for each allocated job.
Laboratory
* Undertake routine preparations and analysis of soil and water samples.
* Carry out scheduled instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with written procedures.
* Understand and adapt general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.
* Ensure that safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly and when necessary.
Qualifications
* A degree qualification in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* Proven technical skills in the mining sector, with experience as a Field Sampling Technician.
* Experience in customer service and client communication.
* A C-class manual driver's license.
* 4WD training.
* Senior First Aid certification.
