About the Role:
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects, ensuring deliverability within defined time, cost and quality parameters. Reporting directly to the Director ,the PM plays a critical role in managing client relationships, guiding and direction our site erection teams addressing project risks and issues.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Project Planning & Execution
* Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget.
*Develop and implement project execution strategies, aligning with business objectives.
*Monitor Project progress and intervene when necessary to maintain alignment with goals.
*Ensure project scopes are clearly defined and adhered to.
*Assign PCs to project, managing their capacity to deliver successfully.
*Provide guidance and mentorship to PCs, enabling their professional growth
* Cost, Quality & Schedule Management
* Track and control project costs to prevent budget overruns
*Ensure project quality meets or exceeds company and client expectations
*Identify schedule risks early and implement mitigation measures
*Conduct regular project reviews to ensure alignment with contractual obligations
*Ensure adherence to project delivery timelines as a key performance metric
* Lead the projects through the design and approval pathways
* Work closely with internal and to ensure the projects objectives are met
* Monitor and report on project progress, managing project risks and issues to ensure delivery within scope, time and budget
* Facilitate regular project meetings ,provide status updates, and ensure clear and timely communications with all team members regarding the projects progress and challenges
* Ensure compliance in accordance with quality, OH&S and program requirements
Skills & experience :
* Extensive experience in Structural steel
* Experience Project management with a focus in structural steel
* Project management qualification or related field
* Strong understanding of design and design management requirements and shop drawing reviews
* Experience in reviewing construction and structural documentation and technical specifications
* Ability to manage subcontractors onsite, including the review and issuing RFI'S while reviewing trade specific variations with the contract administrator
