Role Overview
The GOT IT program is a school-based mental health early intervention service for children in kindergarten to year 2, focusing on disruptive behaviors and conduct disorders. The clinician provides targeted interventions, develops behavioral/social skills groups, and delivers parenting programs.
Selection Criteria
Qualifications and current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist, or relevant qualifications and membership eligibility for Social Workers, Counsellors, or Welfare Officers.
Experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, including assessments and evidence-based interventions.
Skills in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
Ability in family systems interventions and stakeholder collaboration.
Understanding of NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and related legislation.
High-level communication skills and computer literacy.
Current driver’s license and willingness to travel long distances.
Additional Requirements
This is a Category ‘A’ position requiring compliance with NSW Health vaccination policies, including proof of influenza vaccination for certain work settings.
