About the role
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Maintenance Electrician to join our Engineering and Maintenance team. This hands-on role is essential in supporting repairs and preventative maintenance across our net cleaning and ROV equipment, both on land and at sea.
You will be responsible for fault finding, maintaining a comprehensive range of spare parts and ensuring our vessels and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
* Perform General Electric repairs and maintenance across plant, vessels and equipment
* Compete preventative maintenance schedules
* Manage and maintain net cleaning equipment, generators, sub boards, and voltage regulation systems
* Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults
* Ensure work meets specifications and quality standards
* Identify and mitigate hazards and WHS risks
* Participate in training and development activities
Qualifications and experience
* Minimum 3 years post trade experience
* Australian 'A' Grade Electrical licence
* Current and valid drivers licence
* Proven ability to work autonomously and manage projects end to end
* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Desirable Skills
* Mechanical knowledge
* Optical fibre experience
* Experience with DC/AC systems
* PLC programming, VSD's, gensets, AKVA FNC8's
* Coxswain certification or the ability to obtain
* Familiarity with Huon's policies and procedures
