Key Responsibilities
1. Catholic Identity and Mission
Model and promote the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
Integrate Gospel values and Catholic teachings into daily classroom practice.
Support students in preparing for and participating in liturgical celebrations and sacramental programs (particularly Reconciliation and Eucharist in Year Three).
Collaborate with the parish and school staff to foster a strong faith community.
2. Teaching and Learning
Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive curriculum aligned with the West AustralianCurriculum and Catholic Education WA guidelines.
Differentiate learning to meet the diverse needs of students.
Use contemporary pedagogical practices and digital technologies to enhance learning.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
3. Pastoral Care
Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, resilience, and wellbeing.
Support students' social and emotional development through positive behaviour strategies.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to build strong partnerships.
4. Professional Practice
Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.
Participate in school-based meetings, planning sessions, and professional development.
Maintain accurate records of student achievement and wellbeing.
Uphold all school policies, including child safety and duty of care requirements.
Selection Criteria
Commitment to the mission and ethos of Catholic education.
Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
Accreditation to Teach Religious Education (or willingness to obtain).
Working With Children Check
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Experience in preparing students for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharist.
Familiarity with Catholic Education WA policies and curriculum frameworks.
