As a leader in aircraft maintenance, we pride ourselves on safety, innovation, and excellence. We’re expanding our team in Rockhampton as an AME in Avionics, Mechanical, Structures, Composite and Aircraft Painter.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks efficiently and economically, following the Company Maintenance Control Manual, CASA regulations, and safety standards.
- Support secure operations by adhering to safety laws, regulations, and promoting a strong safety culture across all activities.
- Notify inspection personnel when verification is required and assist with tasks like aircraft towing when directed.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration by maintaining strong working relationships with management, staff, and peers.
- Stay informed about industry trends and promote continuous improvement by encouraging participation in enhancement initiatives.
- Uphold high standards of quality, safety, and security compliance while championing safety reporting and adherence to OH&S; and environmental regulations.
Who we are looking for
- Cert IV in Aeroskills or equivalent trade certificate with experience in base maintenance and CASA regulations. Experience on Embraer 190, Fokker 70/100 or Group 20 aircraft is a plus.
- Committed to safety, JUST culture, and upholding Alliance’s safety and performance values. Must be able to obtain and hold a valid ASIC.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with initiative, strong time management, and a willingness to take on tasks as needed, including shift work if required.
- Well-developed computing skills, lateral thinking, and a structured approach to maintenance tasks.
- Pass background checks or medical screenings as required by us. Drug and Alcohol testing and police check clearance will be part of the recruitment process.
- Ability to hold a Driver’s Licence and maintain a valid ASIC card – paid for by Alliance Airlines.

About Alliance Airlines
Our Alliance Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance facility is a $60M brand-new, 3 bay Base Maintenance facility located at Rockhampton airport. The facility provides Base Maintenance services to Alliance Airlines’ fleet of E190 and F70/100 aircraft. Located in Central Queensland, Rockhampton offers cosmopolitan conveniences in a contemporary riverside setting and is 35 minutes from Yeppoon’s beaches.
Alliance is unique in that it owns its whole fleet. The current fleet comprises 37 Fokker 70/100 aircraft and 31 Embraer E190 aircraft, with firm purchase commitments to mid-2026 for a further 26 E190s. The company dry leases 3 E190s to a third party, with leases extended for five more years. Alliance is locally owned with the majority of shareholders in Australia and New Zealand.
