Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team.
As an Aged Care/Disability Support Worker, you will provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live fulfilling and independent lives. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities
* Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
* Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities.
* Monitor and document individual progress and behavior.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other support staff to ensure the best possible care for individuals.
* Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals.
Requirements:
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Experience in childcare or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
* Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
* Ability to follow care plans and provide personalised support.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $40.00 – $75.00 per hour
