The Opportunity
At HenderCare we are passionate about providing exceptional care services to support our service recipients to maintain their independence and improve their well-being. As the demand for HenderCare services has increased in the community, we are currently seeking dedicated support workers to join our team to provide 1-on-1 support to a service recipient in their home in Robe SA.
In this casual role you will work a mixture of day, afternoon and overnights with care over the weekends to ensure our clients is provided with 24/7 care.

About the Role
As a casual Support Worker, you'll cater to diverse clients, addressing their unique needs and fostering a strong sense of community. Embrace flexibility with shifts ranging between 2-6 hours in length. Ideal candidates excel in handling multiple shorter shifts, ensuring consistent opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the lives we support.
In this casual role, some of the services you may be required to provide include:
* 1-1 Personal care
* Supporting the client with complex needs.
* Community access support
* Person Transfers
* Meal preparation
* Light domestic duties
* Social support
About You
We are looking for someone with a caring nature and attributes such as encouragement, attentiveness, adaptability, excellent communication, and strong time management skills. Approaching people empathetically, you will be someone who is understanding and patient towards the needs of others, and passionate about making a difference in people's lives.
Previous experience in providing personal care and working with complex behaviours is essential to be successful in this role.
You must also hold:
* Previous experience working with clients with complex behaviours and care needs
* Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
* Current Provide First Aid Certificate HLTAID012 (previously HLTAID0011)
* Current Provide CPR Certificate HLTAID009 (previously HLTAID001)
* Current Manual Handling Certificate
* Current National Police Check
* Current Working with Children Check
* Current NDIS Workers Check
* Full Drivers License and access to your own car
