About the role
We are looking for a full time or part time staff member to join our small, friendly team.
Reporting to the nursery manager, you will undertake general nursery work including potting plants, preparing plants for dispatch and maintaining the wholesale and retail nursery to a high standard.
What you'll be doing
* Loading, unloading and moving nursery supplies and equipment
* Pruning, staking, fertilizing, potting and weeding plants
* Maintaining and improving irrigation systems
* Assembling garden furniture, ornaments and water features as required
* Contributing to the production of high-quality plants including: Pest and disease identification and assisting with spray and nutrition programs
* Picking, preparing and packing plant orders for dispatch from 140mm to 300mm pots
* Cleaning work areas
* Assisting with Nursery displaying stock
* Assisting with maintaining Nursery gardens.
What we're looking for
* Someone with a passion for plants and excellent plant knowledge
* A level of physically fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
* Able to work well in a busy team environment
* Must be reliable, punctual, with a good work ethic
* Self-motivated with initiative to take action
* Eye for detail with plant maintenance and presentation
* ACDC ticket an advantage
