Role Overview
This is a Permanent Full-Time House Manager position in Newcastle, working alongside a Case Manager and Therapeutic Specialist to create a protected, supportive, and structured environment for children and young people in residential care.
You'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting and mentoring staff, and helping children and young people to develop essential life skills, stay engaged in education, and maintain meaningful connections with family, community, and support networks.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, or a related field (desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
Leadership experience in services supporting children and young people, such as out-of-home care (OOHC) and Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) settings
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, complex health needs, or behaviours of concern
Proven ability to lead and supervise a team, embedding therapeutic care practices
Current First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011)
A Current & Unrestricted driver's licence
