As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Head of Retail to lead the engine room of the business, someone who combines strong commercial capability and retail operational expertise with a genuine passion for basketball culture.
This role is for a leader with a fire in their belly. Someone who genuinely loves retail!! Someone who thinks and acts like an entrepreneur- always looking for smarter ways to operate, elevate the customer experience, drive performance and unlock growth.
You obsess over the details but never lose sight of the bigger picture. You understand that world class retail is equal parts discipline and theatre - systems and storytelling.

The Role
This is a senior leadership role with full oversight of:
* Retail Operations
* Logistics & Supply Chain
* End to End Customer Experience
You will ensure every part of the business works together to create a seamless, high-energy high performance retail experience.
Who We're Looking For
You could come from:
* A strong retail leadership background
* A merchandising or buying background
* Or a well rounded commercial retail pathway
What matters most is that you are:
* Commercially sharp and operationally disciplined
* Well rounded across retail functions with an ability to create clear strategies
* Obsessed with delivering exceptional customer experience
* Deeply passionate about basketball and basketball culture
What You'll Own
Retail Performance
* Drive sales, margin and wage productivity
* Build high performing Retail Team
* Set clear standards, accountability and rhythm
* Oversee the buying team
* Ensure premium presentation and sell through
* Align stock flow with demand and brand energy
Logistics & Supply Chain
* Optimise receipting, replenishment and fulfilment processes and execution
* Improve speed, accuracy and scalability
* Own store P&L performance
* Improve cost control and operational efficiency
* Establish clear KPIs and reporting cadence
Customer Experience
* Elevate Courtside as the most exciting basketball retail destination in Melbourne
* Ensure every customer interaction reflects the brand
* Translate basketball culture into tangible in store energy
Store Level Marketing Execution
* Own the execution of all in-store marketing campaigns, product launches and key retail moments
* Bring brand and basketball culture to life through premium VM, storytelling and event energy
* Partner with marketing to translate national campaigns into high-impact local activation
