R_ Health and Safety Risk Consultant
As a risk consultant within the Workforce Strategies Team, you will deliver health and safety-related solutions as part of a wider team working with all kinds of clients, varying in size from start-ups to large multinationals and from a very broad range of industries.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate can be based anywhere in the UK.
What can you expect:
1. Critical to supporting the growth of the Operational Risk Consulting (ORC) team as you work in a client-facing role. You will add value to the service Marsh provides its clients which, through a collaborative service model, delivers an end-to-end proposition to enable clients to meet their aspirational goals in risk management while mitigating loss exposures.
2. Clients and prospects are seeking a more proactive approach to managing risk whereby they reduce their reliance on insurance by preventing and mitigating losses internally to reduce the Total Cost of Risk to their business.
3. Winning new business, retaining existing clients and expanding the services Marsh delivers to its clients by providing solutions to health and safety (H&S) challenges while optimising the placement of insurance through a connected service proposition.
4. Partner with key client stakeholders to deliver H&S-related solutions which truly benefit them and support both their internal risk management goals

We will rely on you to:
8. Improve clients’ risk management through the delivery of tailored health and safety and other risk management programs
9. Review clients’ operations to identify and analyse risks to their employees, contractors, visitors and other stakeholders
10. Prepare concise and clear reports, both to describe the risk to insurers and to assist clients with risk improvement
11. Provide risk management advice and consultancy primarily on health and safety risks
12. Identify clients’ potential liability risks and potential solutions
13. Identify and develop relationships and opportunities internally and externally to ensure sustained growth for Marsh
14. Work with key business leaders in delivering value added services to clients
15. Develop and deliver propositions and solutions in line with client and market needs
16. Develop professionally as both a Health and Safety Professional and Consultant
17. Grow your personal understanding and knowledge of Risk Management and Insurance
What you need to have:
18. Minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
19. Great communicator at all levels and be confident while sympathetic to client’s needs
20. Excellent team player and work well both on your own and as part of a delivery team
21. Experience in an operational role with H&S responsibilities and management systems
22. Conducting audits/surveys with an ability to write and deliver high quality presentations
23. Full UK driving licence with an appetite for travel and overnight stays
