Fergys is well-established wholesale bakery that for 30 years has supplied quality, baked pastry and bread products to the hospitality and retail sectors. We create a large range of delicious pastries and cakes: croissants, danishes, tarts, slices, muffins, artisan breads, cakes, donuts, and more
The Role:
The role will require lifting up to 15kg. You will be working in a team, folding boxes, and packing a variety of cakes, slices, croissants, danishes, tarts, muffins and so on. As a wholesaler, we make large batches of any one item.
The very best candidates will already have bakery and packing experience, gained from working in a fast-paced food environment, however we are making these positions open to those with no experience but who are physically fit, dextrous and keen to learn.Employees are encouraged to expand and improve their range of skills in the industry, with the potential for advancement within the company.
Essential characteristics:
. physically fit, able to lift 15 kg.
· good written and spoken English
· ability to fold boxes and pack baked goods
· detail orientated, consistently taking great pride in your work
· ability to learn new skills and new machinery
· ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
· ability to use equipment safely
· able to start shifts from 7am, Monday to Friday, working 38 hours
Preferred (but not essential):
* Experience in a bakery, food manufacturing, or FMCG environment
* Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP principles
* Understanding of allergen management
