Our Gold Coast practice is currently recruiting a Legal Administration Assistant to start immediately.

About the Role

Our QLD practice continues to grow quickly and maintains a busy workload. Our QLD team is young and focused on a high-performance and enjoyable culture. This role would suit an ambitious individual seeking a real opportunity to develop their legal experience and legal admin skills.


The Role


We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to take on a Legal Administration Assistant role in our Gold Coast office, working 2 days per week, Thursdays and Fridays.

As a Legal Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Gold Coast office and occasionally providing remote assistance to our Brisbane office. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

* Opening, closing and archiving files

* Drafting correspondence

* Preparing fee proposals

* Preparing cost agreements

* Preparing cost disclosures

* Compiling and collating documents

* Attending court registries and government departments to file or lodge documents

* Mail collection and hand deliveries

* Assisting Lawyers and Partners

* General office duties

The Person


This is a casual position (currently 2 days per week) that provides growth and development in a supportive and friendly team. The role would be ideal for a law student.

To be successful in this role, the legal industry will interest and excite you. You are known for your outgoing and positive attitude, flexibility and team spirit. You will be driven, self-motivated and a fast learner. Past experience in a similar role is not necessary but will be highly regarded.

In addition, you must also possess the following:

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* Pleasant and professional phone manner

* Ability to liaise with staff and clients at all levels

* Excellent organisational skills

* Comfortable with working under pressure to meet deadlines

* Attention to detail a must

* Proficiency with Word, Outlook and Excel

* Well-presented and enthusiastic
