**What YOU do matters!**
- Do YOU have a flair for Aged Care? If so, join the Dalkeith Gardens team as our
- **Lifestyle Assistant,** and support the implementation of our creative and engaging lifestyle program at Dalkeith, to support our residents to live their best life and achieve their personal goals.
**Your 'typical day' will have you**:
- Assisting with the provision of recreational and social programs that enhance the wellbeing of our residents
- Supporting the Lifestyle Coordinator in the orientation of new team members
- Assisting each resident individually in accordance with the lifestyle plan document and ensure information is recorded accurately
- Ensuring all programs meet both residents' needs and accreditation standards
- Demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, social and spiritual needs of our residents and their families
- Engaging our residents and encourage them to be part of their local community
- Assisting with meaningful and enriching activities that provide choice to each person.
**To thrive in this role you will be**:
- Formally qualified in Community Development, Recreation or Disability Studies (i.e. Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure)
- Experienced in providing recreational and social programs in aged care facilities or a similar setting (highly regarded)
- Proficient to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Empathetic and can to build strong connections with residents and their loved ones
- Honest, helpful and dependable - a great asset for the team
