The Internship Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically sharp intern to join our dynamic M&A; team for an intensive 8-week program. This is a unique, remote opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of corporate finance. You will be integrated directly into live deal teams, contributing to real projects and gaining invaluable insight into the entire M&A; lifecycle.
This internship is designed as a trial period for a potential longer-term appointment with the firm in 2026. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, capable of working autonomously, and excited by the challenge of a performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
As an integral part of our team, you will be involved in:
- M&A; Research & Analysis:
- Conducting company and industry research to identify potential M&A; targets or buyers.
- Performing financial analysis and benchmarking of companies within key sectors.
- Assisting in the preparation of pitch books and information memoranda.
- CRM & Deal Pipeline Management:
- Updating and maintaining our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Helping to manage the deal pipeline and track client interactions.
- Financial Modeling & Excel Tasks:
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of financial models in Excel.
- Preparing data rooms and organizing critical due diligence materials.
Who We Are Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- A current student or recent graduate in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, advanced formulas, charting) is a non-negotiable requirement.
- Exceptional research, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- A self-starter with a proactive mindset, able to manage tasks independently in a remote setting.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- A robust interest in mergers & acquisitions, corporate strategy, and capital markets.
Distinct Advantages:
- A demonstrated interest or academic background in Mining, Energy, and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Previous internship experience in finance, consulting, or a related field.
- Familiarity with financial databases (e.g., S&P; Capital IQ, PitchBook) or CRM systems.
Compensation & Structure
- This is an unpaid internship in terms of a base salary.
- You will receive a success-based stipend upon the successful closing of transactions you have contributed to during your internship. This directly aligns your efforts with the firm's success.
- This 8-week internship serves as a primary evaluation period for a potential, longer-term role with the firm in 2026.
