You'll work in a modern, well-equipped facility alongside a supportive, multidisciplinary team.About Lavarack Health Centre Lavarack Health Centre is located in Townsville at Lavarack Barracks, the largest Army base in Australia. It includes the Operational Deployment Force and facilities to undertake mission rehearsal exercises prior to deployment. The facility provides primary medical, underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care to approximately 8000 members. It also operates a 24/7 inpatient low dependency ward. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend shifts).Your Impact We are seeking a Medical Officer / General Practitioner to join us in a permanent part time capacity, workingMonday and Tuesday 0730 to 1530.As a Medical Officer, you will:Deliver primary medical care in line with professional standards and Defence policiesWork collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to support Defence personnelAssess fitness for duty and provide pre/post-deployment medical supportProvide medical technical advice to Defence leadershipWork across outpatient and inpatient care settings as neededWhat You'll NeedUnrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical PractitionerFRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational RegistrationMinimum 2 years' full time (or part time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 yearsAustralian Citizen – for Baseline Security Clearance requirementsWhy Join Us?
