About the Role
Based in our Sydney Office or Goulburn NSW HQ, you'll be supporting a tight-knit team of design professionals and assist in overseeing the full design lifecycle — from initial brief to shop drawing production, approval, and delivery, you'll be a key part in supporting the process of design between Sales & Production ensuring everything is delivered to the highest standards — on time, every time, exactly as promised.
What You'll Be Doing
* Produce and review 2D & 3D detailed stair flight and associated product drawings using BricsCAD Mechanical/BIM & Sketchup.
* Interpret architectural and structural plans and schedule, mark-up, and design tailored shop drawing packages.
* Collaborate closely internally and support FTI's senior designers to architects, engineers, and internal production teams.
* Ensure design compliance, provide compliance reviews & mark-ups.
* Maintain meticulous documentation for every project and every drawing.
* Overall support for the Stair & Handrail design team
Who You Are
You're a meticulous and detail draftsperson with hands-on CAD experience and a passion for precision. You're just as comfortable at the drafting table as you are working with and supporting a team of senior designers assisting in the design review process with architects, engineers, builders and clients.
You'll need:
* Strong skills in AutoCAD and/or BricsCAD 2D & 3D.
* A grasp of architectural and structural drawings would be ideal.
* Practical experience in construction & manufacturing would be a plus.
* A sharp eye for detail and innovation
